Who powers makr.ai.
makr.ai relies on these companies to host the service, sign you in, run AI models, research the web, make media, send email and take payments. Depending on what you ask for, some of them process your information, and we require them, under their contracts, to use it only to provide their service to us.

Hosting, storage and sign-in
- Cloudflare
- Hosts the makr.ai website, makr Studio and the agent that does the work; stores your files; counts page visits without cookies.
- Sign in with Google.
- Upstash
- Short-term caching, rate limits and running scheduled tasks on time.
AI models
- OpenRouter
- Sends chat, planning and writing to the AI model chosen for each task, run by that model's provider.
- Google (Gemini)
- AI writing and image understanding, podcast voices and music.
- OpenAI
- Speech-to-text, and some voices.
Images, video, voices and sound
- Fal.ai
- Image and video generation, and sound effects, including models from Google and ElevenLabs.
- ElevenLabs (through Fal.ai)
- Sound effects, and some voices in makr Studio.
- Replicate
- Some image generation.
- Runware
- Music for podcasts.
- Fish Audio
- Read-aloud, and voices in some older podcasts.
- Audio Design Desk
- The built-in sound library in makr Studio and podcasts. Audio Design Desk is also made by makr.ai's founder.
Research and reading the web
- Parallel
- Web search and page reading for research.
- Tavily
- Backup web search and page reading.
- Perplexity
- Backup search and deep research.
- Brave Search
- Backup web search.
- TinyFish
- Reading web pages that need a full browser to load.
- Browser Use
- Browser tasks, such as capturing a competitor's web page.
Email and payments
- Postmark
- Sends sign-in and notification emails.
- Stripe
- Takes payments for token packs. Your card details go to Stripe, never into makr.ai.
Your private work
We don't authorize an AI or media provider to train its models on private work it receives only to complete something you asked for. The exact provider can change with the feature and the model.
